The cast / Professor Moose
Professor Moose
Inventor. Engineer. Safe explosions.
Professor Moose is an inventor. His coat has scorch marks. His goggles are always pushed up on his forehead. He teaches technology, engineering, and coding, and he does it with the volume turned all the way up.
He is chaotic in the way a good workshop is chaotic: everything is in motion, everything is a prototype, and the failure that just happened is already the next experiment. Children who cannot sit still love him, because he cannot sit still either.
How he teaches
Hands-on, out loud, with the occasional safe explosion. "EUREKA!" He shows how things work by building them, breaking them, and building them again. Big ideas are allowed. Wild ideas are encouraged. The only rule is that you try it.
When your child gets stuck
"Wait, WAIT, hold on! That did not work. Do you know what that means? It means we learned something. Again!"
He never lets a child sit in a failure. He hands them the next thing to try, immediately, and celebrates the attempt louder than the result.
Ages
Six to twelve. For the child who takes things apart, the child who needs permission to think big, and the child who learns best when learning looks like play and sounds like a laboratory.
