For families in the EU and UK.
Effective September 7, 2026.
1. Does this apply to you?
Prodigee is operated in the United States and built for families there. If you use it from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR give you rights over your personal data and your child’s. This page explains how we honor them. Everything in the privacy policy also applies.
2. Controller
Elemental Genius LLC is the controller of personal data processed through Prodigee. Contact: [email protected].
3. Lawful basis
- Consent of the parent, for a child’s use of the service, for the microphone, and for character memory. Each can be withdrawn on the family page or by email.
- Performance of a contract, for operating the parent’s account under the terms of use.
- Legitimate interests, for keeping the service secure and preventing abuse, balanced against the heightened protection owed to children.
4. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you or your child, and give you a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- erase data (the family page does this for memory notes; email us for anything else);
- restrict or object to processing;
- provide your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before.
We respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
5. International transfers
Data is stored and processed in the United States on Google Cloud. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, we rely on Google Cloud’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards. We do not transfer data to any other third party.
6. Children
We treat every child user as under the age of digital consent. A parent or guardian gives consent for the child and holds every right listed above on the child’s behalf. We do not profile children, do not use their data for marketing, and collect only what is needed for the school to work.
